Electronic manufacturing services that ensure environmentally friendly products
The electronic manufacturing services we offer at Tiskana vezja LUZNAR d.o.o. are known in the wider European area. Our story began over 37 years ago, and still, to this day, we hold our products to the highest quality standards, as we did back then. Our company excels in designing, manufacturing, assembling and testing printed circuit boards (PCB), which we manufacture under one roof. That allows us to offer our clients fast delivery and flexibility.
Electronic manufacturing services (EMS) are part of a powerful and dynamic market as the demand for electronic components grows. The market for visionary technological advancements allows manufacturers, such as us, to provide groundbreaking solutions. Our production includes different levels of automation, depending on a specific project or company. But the goal is always the same. To turn your concept into a reality. The products are professionally built and well-engineered, all in an environmentally friendly way.
As a company offering EMS services, we are aware of how important it is. That is why we believe separating waste collection is much more than just a legislative requirement. As it contributes to maintaining natural resources, more efficient further processing, and saves energy, it is our responsibility. In 2006, we included PB-free soldering in our production process. We also ensure chemical, physical and biological processes, purify wastewater and protect the environment against heavy metals and other dangerous substances. This way, the water is no longer harmful to the environment.
What exactly is printed circuit assembly?
Printed circuit assembly describes the finished product, the board after all the components have been installed and soldered on a PCB. PCB and PCA are often used interchangeably, but they are different. The printed circuit board or PCB refers to a blank circuitry board which is not yet functional due to a lack of required elements. They are the foundation of every modern electronic device as they electrically connect and mechanically support the components. The boards are often made of composite epoxy or fiberglass and have conductive pathways. These pathways are inscribed or printed onto the surface according to the predetermined design and connect different components on the board.
Electronic manufacturing services often produce single, double and multi-layer PCBs. With only one layer, the single-layer PCBs are the simplest type. They have a layer of solder mask, and a coat of a single layer of conducting material. Ones with double layers have conducting material on the top and the bottom of the board. With more than two conductive layers, multi-layered PBCs are used in more complex applications, including computers, smartphones, radios, printers, calculators and various other appliances. What differentiates PCBA from PCB is that they are built on top of an existing PCB. While the PCB refers to a blank board, the PCBA is a completed product containing all components for the board to function correctly.
What industries benefit from manufacturing and printed circuit assembly?
Electronic manufacturing services are utilised by several leading industries. Modern technology is developing at a fast pace, and it is affecting our daily lives more and more. Technological advancements, such as PCBA, are the core of numerous appliances and apparatuses in most distinguishable industries. The first three, which are probably no surprise, are the automotive, aviation and aerospace industries. As the automotive industry is becoming the force of the world’s economy, PCBs can be found in several crucial components. They are essential parts of GPS systems, digital screens, lamps, radars, engine control units, entertainment systems and even surveillance mirrors.
Automotive, aviation and aerospace industries all have something in common. They require printed circuit assembly that assures exceptional performance under rigorous conditions. PCBAs must provide superior performance and meet every increasingly complex demand these industries have. Other industries where PCBs are indispensable are gambling, medicine and signalisation. Innovative technology is a paramount part of slot machines, many medical instruments that are critical for diagnosing illnesses, traffic lights, railway stations and border crossings.
The methods of PCBA must include well-prepared documentation
Printed circuit assembly is the process of adding resistors, integrated circuits and transistors onto a bare board. There are two methods to do so – the first one is surface-mount technology (SMT), which involves mounting electronic components to the surface of a PCB. The second one is thru-hole technology. This technology involves drilling holes into a board through which the electronic components are installed. SMT process is often flexible and automated and includes four steps – preparing the board, placing the components, soldering and inspection.
PCBA using the thru-hole technology is an older technology but creates a stronger connection between elements and PCB. It also needs four steps to complete – drilling the holes, placing the leads, soldering and inspection. The electronic manufacturing services we provide always include well-prepared documentation. To make the product you want, we need Gerber files, pick and place files, a bill of materials and testing protocol.
